Notice to participants in the XXIV International Conference on:
Ephphatha!: DEAF PEOPLE IN THE LIFE OF THE CHURCH»
The general theme chosen for this year’s International Conference wishes to respond to the numerous requests that we have received, asking for the possibility of organizing a Symposium for deaf people in the Vatican, so that a work of sensitization towards deaf people can also be offered within the Church, so as to give them full dignity and respect of their rights.
The Conference particularly targets:
- all deaf people;
- their families and relatives;
- all those people who work with and for deaf people, be it in the Church, in the civil, health and assistance or support sectors;
- those people with a responsibility in the promotion of health pastoral care (national, diocesan directors, etc…).
We shall therefore preferably accept registrations that correspond to the above indicated criteria.
