There is a registration fee of 100 €. Those registering will receive the special issue of the journal Dolentium Hominum containing the Conference Proceedings.

All who wish to attend the International Conference must send a written request by October 30, 2009 to the Pontifical Council for Health Pastoral Care, 00120 Vatican City.

The registration fee may be paid as follows:

1. Outside Italy, by way of an international check or postal money order made out to the Pontifical Council for Health Pastoral Care, 00120 Vatican City

2. In Italy, you may use c.c.p. n. 63353007, indicating that payment is to the Pontifical Council for Health Pastoral Care, Via della Conciliazione 3, Roma for the purpose of registration.

There will be simultaneous translation into English, Spanish, French, and Italian. There will also be sign language interpreters in the Hall.

The Proceedings, to be printed in the four official languages for the Conference, will be available in May 2010.

You must present ID badge to be admitted to the Synod Hall. You may pick it up at the office of the Pontifical Council. On Wednesday, November 18, the secretariat of the Conference will be open at the office of the Pontifical Council, from 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., then on Thursday, November 19, it will be transferred to the Synod Hall.

Bar service will be from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7p.m.

The general theme chosen for this year’s International Conference wishes to respond to the numerous requests that we have received, asking for the possibility of organizing a Symposium for deaf people in the Vatican, so that a work of sensitization towards deaf people can also be offered within the Church, so as to give them full dignity and respect of their rights.

The Conference particularly targets:

We shall therefore preferably accept registrations that correspond to the above indicated criteria.
